When you provide your mobile phone number to Lava Roofing (a DBA of LOST WAVE LLC) — whether through a form on lavaroofing.com, by phone, in person, or otherwise — you consent to receive SMS text messages from us related to your roofing inquiry, project, scheduling, appointment confirmations, on-the-way notifications, estimates, invoices, and customer-care follow-ups.

We will send a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will not send further marketing or transactional SMS to that number. You may opt back in at any time by replying START.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data sharing exclude mobile opt-in / consent data and SMS message content; this information is not sold, leased, rented, traded, or otherwise transferred to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Records of consent. When you submit a form on lavaroofing.com that includes the SMS consent checkbox, we record the timestamp, the form URL, and your IP address as evidence of your opt-in. You can request a copy of this consent record by emailing contact@lavaroofing.com.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
